Do you need more perspiration?

It was Thomas Edison who said that Success is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration. Although this is true across the board, it really applies to personal development. When most people start learning about personal development, they learn about the importance of positive thinking. They learn about the how the subconscious mind works and the law of attraction. It is inspiring to discover such knowledge, but according the quote, inspiration is only 10% of your goal. Sadly, many people never move from inspiration to perspiration.

The importance of perspiration

It’s easy to forget the need to take action on your goals. Taking action is the only way your desires are translated to concrete reality. Many law of attraction books cover the mechanics of how thoughts create your reality. Your thoughts create an impression on the universe to manifest your desires. However, the creative power of the universe works through your own actions. It is your actions that creates the result.

So remember, you need perspiration, and a lot of it. Inspiration is extremely important because it is the spark that starts the whole process. But, once you have achieved that spark, it’s time to move into the action phase.

What about motivation?

If motivation is an issue for you, hypnosis can help. Hypnosis is a self-improvement tool that helps you feel like taking action. However, feeling like doing something doesn’t always translate to action. Even if you feel like doing something, you still have the choice to act or not.
