Welcome to the hypnosis and anxiety disorders blog at Maness Hypnosis

As a mental health provider, my goal is to empower you with relevant, up-to-date information, to help you find more peace. I am restarting my blog with a new focus on hypnosis and anxiety disorders. Whether you are a prospective client looking for a therapist, or you’re doing self-therapy, you’ll find the articles here helpful. Starting August 2024, I will be releasing a new article every two weeks. I want to take a moment and go over a few of the different types of content you’ll find here in the future.

Anxiety Challenges and Protective Factors

In addition to information about hypnosis, you’ll find articles about anxiety disorders, symptoms, and common treatments. I will also be adding content pertaining to research on hypnosis and anxiety disorders. I will be focusing mainly on Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social anxiety, Performance anxiety, and Phobias.

I will also focus on the strengths that can help you become more resilient in the face of anxiety. I will discuss strengths such as confidence, assertiveness, resilience, and optimism. My goal is to help you make better use of the strengths you already have in addition to developing new skills.

Self-therapy

In my view, the goal of therapy is to help you become more self-sufficient in taking care of your mental health. I will devote a portion of this blog to self-therapy, especially as it pertains to self-hypnosis and anxiety disorders. Whether or not you seek professional help, you will find benefit in doing some kind of self-therapy process. This might be self-hypnosis or techniques from traditional therapy.

If self-therapy is a new concept for you, it’s probably more familiar than you think. If you’re doing any kind of meditation, self-hypnosis, breathing exercises, or thought logs, you’re already doing self-therapy.

My goal is to help you become more proficient in self-therapy. Self-therapy skills can help you get more out of the therapy you’re already doing. It can also help you become more self-reliant in your mental health journey.

Not just hypnosis and anxiety disorders

My goal on this blog is also to delve into the inner workings of anxiety. That means discussing not only the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral properties of anxiety, but also exploring the situations in which anxiety occurs. This includes job stress, relationship patterns, life transitions, existential issues, lifestyle issues, and much more.

Addressing the challenges of the 2020’s.

If your experience has been anything like mine, living through the 2020’s has involved quite a bit of anxiety and uncertainty. Issues such as the pandemic, social isolation, political division, economic uncertainty, and ever-expanding technology such as AI, have created mental health minefields like never before.

How do you navigate all this with your mental health intact, especially if you already deal with anxiety? I plan to answer that question to the best of my ability. It is my hope that through reading this blog, you’ll be better equipped to manage anxiety, achieve your goals, and live your best life.
